‘Tis the season to spread holiday cheer by giving the gift of joy! Hatchett Design Remodel is teaming up with Santa and the U.S. Marine Corps in our long-standing tradition of collecting Toys for Tots!
Starting November 15th, Hatchett Design Remodel will have both of our showrooms in Newport News and Virginia Beach open during our business hours for collection. Simply swing by with a new, unwrapped gift and place it beneath the tree.
About Toys for Tots
Toys for Tots was established by the U.S. Marine Corps, and their mission is to bring “a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas.” That’s a mission we are on board with at Hatchett Design Remodel. The toys we collect on their behalf stay local and go to children right here in our own community. From admin and management to design and construction, the Hatchett team supports Toys for Tots internally, and we would like to increase our impact by inviting you to contribute.
Toys for Tots Shopping Tips
So while you’re out or online shopping, please add a toy for a tot to your cart. Toys are gifted to children of all ages – infants, toddlers, tweens and teens – so that gives you lots of options. Simply choose something you would have liked as a kid. Your gift could be a learning toy for a baby, a craft kit for an artsy kid, a ball for an athletic child, an electronic for a kid who loves music, an instrument for one who likes to play music, or a game the whole family can enjoy together. The options are endless, but the reward is the same. Together we can put smiles on the faces of children (and their parents) who may otherwise go without this Christmas.

We’re accepting toys and monetary donations November 15th through December 10th at both our Newport News and Virginia Beach showrooms. Please drop off your unwrapped toy anytime during our business hours. Our Newport News showroom is open Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm, and our Virginia Beach showroom is open Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 5pm.
