Toys for Tots is a long-standing tradition in the U.S. Marine Corps. 2022 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program! They aim to bring “a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas.” Our entire team here at Hatchett Design Remodel is on board with that mission! From admin and management to design and construction, the Hatchett team supports Toys for Tots internally, and we would like to increase our impact by inviting you to contribute. The toys we collect will stay local and go to children right here in Hampton Roads.
How You Can Help
Whether you live on the Peninsula or the Southside, we have two convenient locations where you can drop off your donations. Our showroom in Newport News is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm. In Virginia Beach, our showroom is open during the same hours from Tuesday to Thursday. Between now and December 16th, please swing by during our operation hours to place a new, unwrapped toy under our tree in the lobby. Cash donations may be made at the front desk.

Good Days to Shop for Toy Drives
While you’re out doing your holiday shopping on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, or Cyber Monday, please keep our Toys for Tots kids in mind. If you need some help deciding what to buy, The New York Times has compiled a handy list of top toys in 2022, and they’ve broken it down by age. We collect toys for children ranging in age from newborns to 18 years, so please don’t forget about our tweens and teens that are sometimes overlooked.
You really can’t go wrong… any gift you give will be enjoyed and appreciated! If you still can’t decide, you can simply make a monetary donation and let the Toys for Tots elves do the shopping for you!
