When the Zizzo family decided it was time to remodel their kitchen and bring it up to date, they called Hatchett Design Remodel. The Zizzos have a strong sense of personal style. They worked closely with their design team at Hatchett to create a stunning new space for their family.

Zizzo Kitchen Before
Cabinetry
The Zizzos chose cabinets by Ultracraft with a clean modern door style. We decided to create contrast by using a combination of dark gray “Pepper” paint of some of the cabinets and “Raw Cotton” textured melamine on the others. The countertops are MSI quartz Premium Plus White, and the backsplash is made of 3×12 white subway tile with dark gray grout.
Their cabinets are stacked to be 51” H. By extending the upper cabinets to the ceiling, we created tons of storage. So much so that they haven’t even filled all of their cabinets yet! To maximize the functionality of their storage cabinets, we included spice rack pull outs, tray dividers, a corner pull out unit, multiple large drawers for pots and pans, and TWO double trashcan pull out cabinets – one by their range and one by their sink.

Kitchen Island & New Flooring
Their original kitchen had a large walk-in pantry that we removed to allow for more cabinetry and counter space. We removed the small angled island and replaced it with an almost 13-foot island. Even with this enormous island, we still had room in their kitchen to keep 45”-51” wide walkways around it. Then in replacing their flooring, we also extended the new Mannington laminate throughout the entire first floor. The laminate flooring they chose is Parchment from the Restoration Anthology collection.

Appliances
All of their appliances are the GE Monogram line including a 42”W refrigerator, ice maker, beverage cooler, microwave drawer, and a 48”W double oven range complete with a warming shelf above.
Their kitchen is absolutely stunning, and the Zizzos are so happy with how everything came together. They were such a fun couple to work with and really seem more like friends to us now. It was a pleasure to help them bring their dream kitchen to life, and we are so proud of the work done by Zizzo’s design team: Michael (Remodeling Consultant), Tara (Designer), and Adam (Project Manager).
