Meghan is the third generation in the family business. In 2005, she graduated from Lynchburg College with a degree in Business. Before Hatchett, Meghan moved to Washington DC, where she worked for The Washington Post as a marketing consultant for Builders and Remodelers. This role gave her a great deal of knowledge on the remodeling industry. Meghan enjoys helping and guiding homeowners through every step of the process from design to construction.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her husband and daughters.
To help you get to know Meghan better, we asked her to answer a few questions.
How did you become part of the Hatchett Team?
I am third generation of Hatchett Design Remodel. I grew up hearing stories about my dad’s work day as we sat around the dinner table every evening. As he talked about his various projects and how he helped people by improving their homes, I knew that I too wanted to be part of the family business one day.
What is your favorite thing about working at Hatchett Design Remodel?
Quite simply… the people! As a family owned and operated business, we have created an extended family here at work. We are a cohesive unit – a team. We all work really well together, and we love what we do!
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I spend the majority of my free time with my friends and family, especially my husband and my two daughters.
I bleed Green & Gold, so I look forward to football season every year! Go Packers Go!
I also enjoy hiking, and one of my greatest feats was rock climbing the Grand Tetons a few years ago.
