Every remodeling project is unique, but there is one thing they all have in common… questions from homeowners! With over 50 years experience remodeling thousands of kitchens, bathrooms and additions, Hatchett Design Remodel knows what homeowners want to know.
According to Don Hatchett, “one of the biggest hurdles for homeowners is knowing where to start on their remodeling project.” The unknown can be very daunting. How do I pick a contractor? How long will it take? Can I live in my house during renovations? How much will it cost? Can I finance my remodel? What’s the first step?
Don’t let these questions bog you down and leave your project in a stalemate. Hatchett is hosting two free seminars in October that will address the most common questions and ease your concerns. One will be held in our Newport News showroom starting at 6pm on Thursday, October 17. The next will be the following week at our Virginia Beach showroom at 6pm on the 24th. Both seminars will be hosted by Meghan Hatchett and one of our talented designers, Jessica.
What to Expect
While we have planned these events around our clients’ frequently asked questions, we want to make sure your specific concerns are addressed as well. Jessica will kick off the event with hot topics such as this year’s most popular colors and top design trends. Then Meghan will walk attendees through Hatchett’s Design Process. Our process is one we have refined over the years to maximize efficiency while minimizing costs and stress.
Jessica will also demonstrate how our designers use technology in the design phase of our process. These photo-real renderings allow our clients to see exactly what their remodeled space will look like before any of the materials are ordered.
After our informal presentation, we will open the floor to a Q&A session. Don Hatchett encourages all attendees to participate in this open discussion, because “it’s a great, pressure-free way to gain knowledge about the remodeling process.” Jessica added, “we hope people gain a better understanding of how the remodeling process works and what to expect whenever they’re ready to remodel.” While HGTV has brought remodeling into the spotlight, Hatchett’s seminars will provide more detailed, realistic information that will better prepare you for your future renovation endeavors.
How to Register
Space is limited, so please register by October 14th for the seminar in Newport News on the 17th. The registration deadline for the seminar in Virginia Beach on the 24th is October 21s. To register, simply email Meghan Hatchett at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to let her know which seminar you would like to attend and who will be in attendance.
Since many folks will likely be coming straight from work, we will have cheese and crackers for hors d’oeuvres… and wine, of course. Non-alcoholic alternatives will also be provided.
While each remodeling project is unique, there is something every renovation has in common… questions from homeowners! To address these questions up front, Hatchett Design Remodel decided to host free seminars last October. Despite the inclement weather, we had an impressive turnout, so we’re doing it again!
Where & When
In March, you will have two opportunities to attend one of our free remodeling seminars: Thursday, March 14th at our showroom in Virginia Beach and Thursday, March 28th at the one in Newport News. Both seminars will take place from 6 to 7pm.
Meghan Hatchett, one of our Design Consultants, will kick off the discussion by explaining Hatchett’s Design Process. Our process is one we have fine tuned in over 60 years of remodeling homes in Hampton Roads. We have formulated this process to maximize efficiency while minimizing cost and stress.
Jessica, one of our Designers, will then cover hot topics including current design trends. She will also demonstrate Hatchett’s Raytrace technology that creates photo-real images of our designs. This part of our process allows homeowners to visualize the finished project before the materials are even ordered. Click here for an example.
After this brief and informal presentation, we will open the floor to a Q&A session. We have a lot of experience in remodeling, so the most common questions will be addressed in our presentation. That said, the open Q&A allows you to get the answers to your specific questions. Last fall, here are some questions we addressed in our open Q&A.
Does Hatchett’s Lifetime Warranty cover work completed by your trade partners?
Yes, they are a part of our team and their work is covered by our Lifetime Warranty.
How does your team enter the house during the construction phase? Do I need to be home?
Like a realtor, we use a lockbox. This allows homeowners to come and go as they please, and we’re able to secure the home when we’re done for the day.
If we have more than one room we want renovated, how will Hatchett approach those projects?
The most cost efficient approach would be to have our trade partners do all their work in a single visit. For example, if you’re renovating both your kitchen and master bath, it would be cost efficient to have the plumber complete his work in both rooms in the same day. However, we understand that renovating two rooms simultaneously may not be in your budget. Your design consultant will work with you individually to determine the best and most cost efficient solution for your project (or projects).
Don’t let questions about remodeling bog you down and prevent you from making renovations. Come get the answers to all your remodeling questions at our free seminars this March.
Space is limited, so please register by March 11th for our Virginia Beach seminar on the 14th. Registration for our Newport News event on the 28th is open until March 25th. To register for either seminar, simply email Meghan Hatchett at email@example.com. Be sure to let her know which seminar you wish to attend and who will be in attendance.
Since many folks will likely be coming straight from work, we will have cheese, crackers, hors d’oeuvres… and wine, of course. Non-alcoholic alternatives will also be provided.
If you need more information about the seminars, feel free to call Hatchett Design Remodel or stop by our showrooms in Newport News and Virginia Beach. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have… it costs nothing to ask!
