The big stores, like Walmart, will be featuring special Black Friday deals on toys. Kohl’s, for example, has up to 50-60% off their Black Friday deals, including classic wooden toys by Melissa & Doug.
Boutiques and Mom & Pop shops all over Hampton Roads will be offering special deals throughout their stores, toys included. Shop on this day and support two great causes – Buy Local and Toys for Tots. Check out local toy stores like POP Kids Store in downtown Norfolk or Matt & Juliette in Williamsburg. Boutiques such as Le Marche and A. Dodson’s in Ghent aren’t specifically “toy stores”, but they have a great selection of unique gifts for kids of all ages – and you’ll probably find a little something for yourself in there as well!
If all that tryptophan leaves you too tired to get off the couch to tackle sales on Friday or Saturday, then Cyber Monday is for you! Pretty much any store with a website will be featuring special savings on Monday. Amazon’s Best Sellers list is a great way to find out what’s popular with the kids this year.
