We are in our final week of Hatchett Design Remodel’s Toys for Tots campaign! Our collection of toys for local girls and boys is growing daily thanks to the generosity of our clients and our staff. The toys will be gifted to local children of all ages including infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers, grade-schoolers, tweens and teens.
Gift Ideas for Teens & Tweens
Any gift you give will be greatly appreciated, but we know it can be challenging to shop for children you don’t know. It’s especially hard to shop for teens and tweens, and that is why they are often overlooked.
Tweens aren’t quite yet teenagers, yet they want to be teenagers! The age range of a tween is between 8 and 12. While adults see them as the kids they are, this group of children are developing a sense of independence and individuality. As they mature, so does their taste in “toys”.

Gift Ideas Under $25
Shopping for this age group can be challenging due to the price tags as well. These more mature children tend to want more expensive toys, but there are several budget-friendly gifts that will bring a smile to any teen or tween on Christmas morning. Grown & Flown has compiled a go-to list of gifts under $25.
Gift cards to online shops, local stores, and eateries are always a hit with independent teens and tweens who prefer to do their own shopping.
Collections End This Friday
We’re accepting toys and monetary donations now through this Friday, December 13th, at both our Newport News and Virginia Beach showrooms. Please drop off your unwrapped toy anytime during our business hours Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm. Online donations can be made to our local chapter of Toys for Tots by clicking the link on our homepage.
